Internal Product Training for ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser

2026-09-01

The ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser has been launched for several months. To boost our marketing team’s  understanding of the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser, ECI Group hold an internal product training session on the afternoon of 1 September 2026 at our manufacturing site in Xinjin, Chengdu, Sichuan Province.

During this session, our ECI-Group  technician , Miss. Yang and Mr. Wu showed how to  operate  the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser. Every practical exercise during the training focused entirely on hands‑on operation of the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser.

I. Operating Procedures for ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser

1  Preparation

1.1 Place  the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser on a flat, solid workbench.

Operating and storage temperature ranges from ‑10 ℃ to +55 ℃ for the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser.

relative humidity must not exceed 90 % and must stay condensation‑free.

If you bring the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser indoors after exposure to cold conditions, let the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser warm fully to room temperature.

1.2 Hardware connection Connect the main unit of the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser to your Windows PC or Android tablet using a standard USB 3.0 cable.

1.3 Consumable readiness Gather all required items for operating the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser: 20‑μm disposable semen counting chambers, micropipette and semen extender. Inspect disposable counting chambers for any damage. Only hold chambers by their outer edges. Never touch the central optical viewing surface. Damaged consumables will deliver false readings from the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser.

Compatible consumable: 20‑μm disposable semen counting chamber, dimensions 75 × 25.5 mm. Total sample loading volume: 4 μL.

2.1 Warm your semen sample and semen extender up to 38 °C before running any tests on the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser. Improper sample temperature will distort test data generated by the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser.

2.2 Dilute semen samples following the dilution ratios shown on our product datasheet for the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser.

Animal Species Semen + Semen Extender Dilution Ratio
Bull 25 μL + 725 μL Equivalent to 1 + 29
Boar 90 μL + 810 μL Equivalent to 1 + 9
Stallion 90 μL + 810 μL Equivalent to 1 + 9
Canine 180 μL + 720 μL Equivalent to 1 + 4
Small Ruminant 20 μL + 980 μL Equivalent to 1 + 49

2.3 Once dilution is finished, invert the sample tube gently 5‑8 times to mix thoroughly. Avoid hard shaking, as this will tear and damage sperm tails and lead to unreliable output from the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser.

3 Sample Loading onto Counting Chamber

3.1 Take out a brand‑new disposable counting chamber for use with the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser.

3.2 Use your micropipette to draw 4 μL of diluted semen and dispense it into the chamber inlet.

Note: 4 μL is the total sample volume. Do not add liquid to each small chamber individually. Liquid spreads and fills all chambers automatically by capillary action. Incorrect sample loading causes inaccurate results on the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser.

3.3 Lay the loaded counting chamber flat. Visually confirm every chamber is completely filled with no large air bubbles. If bubbles or partial filling occur, throw this chamber away and prepare a fresh sample for your ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser.

4 Running the Test on ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser

4.1 Slide the prepared counting chamber smoothly into the slot on the main unit of the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser.

4.2 Open the SemenAnalysis software paired with the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser on your connected tablet or PC.

4.3 Fill in software configuration settings for your ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser:

‑ Select target species: boar, bull, sheep, dog, poultry and others

‑ Raw semen batch No.: enter your sample batch reference

‑ Animal ID: input animal ear tag ID

‑ Dilution ratio: set the dilution factor used for your semen sample

‑ Raw semen volume: input volume of raw semen under test

‑ Aliquot volume: volume per single dose after dilution

‑ Motile sperm per aliquot: count of viable sperm for each prepared dose

4.4 Hit Capture to grab the live image for the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser, then click Analyse. The software will carry out all calculations automatically for the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser.

4.5 Review test output data from the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser: total sperm count, motile sperm, static sperm, progressive‑motile sperm and full kinematic parameters (VAP, VSL, VCL, LIN, STR, etc.).

4.6 You can replay recorded test videos captured by the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser, save reports locally or export them for external use.

5 Post‑test Procedures for ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser

5.1 Remove the used counting chamber from the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser. Disposable chambers are single‑use only and must be discarded after testing. Reuse is prohibited to avoid inaccurate test data.

5.2 For subsequent tests on the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser, select New Sample in the software and repeat the testing procedures.

5.3 After all tests are completed, disconnect the USB  cable of the ECI‑SpermPro Semen Quality Analyser. Clean the optical lens gently with professional lens swabs if dusty. Do not use rough paper or blow air directly on the lens.
